Why is it not possible to scan with Android smartphones and older iPhones?

At the moment it is only possible to scan the horse's back with devices that have a FaceID sensor. This sensor is only built in from the iPhone 10 (X) (not in the respective SE models). Unfortunately also no Android smartphone has this sensor built in.
